This piece was created for an exhibition at the Center Galleries at the College for Creative Studies, Detroit. While many paintings in the gallery depict their immediate surroundings, this piece portrays a view of a sculpture located at the top of the stairs near the building’s entrance—a point that each viewer passes on their way inside.
