In addition to structural elements in the room, several paintings engage with pieces by other artists in their proximity. Whether responding directly to other art’s content, or depicting others’ art in an alternate form, the site-specific paintings situate the audience to contemplate a personal perceptual experience of their immediate environment. The work aims to demonstrate the availability of visually stimulating imagery to viewers anywhere, and, thereby, encourages the act of looking.
